Motorola Droid 2 Resources

The Motorola Droid 2 is Still a Good Phone

If you have a Motorola Droid 2, this page is for you! It contains all of the resources I was able to compile during the time I owned one. If you have questions or comments, or feel any of these articles are incomplete or inaccurate, please leave comments on the respective pages. I always respond to comments and will correct any inaccuracies.

Skip Activation on Droid 2 – You can skip initial activation of your Motorola Droid 2 by pressing the four corners of the screen. Look here for more details. This is far easier than going through all the stupid Verizon steps.

SBF Droid 2 Back to Stock – If you’ve really hosed your Droid 2 or just want to set it back to stock, here are the steps. I played with so many different ROMs during the time I had this phone that I memorized these steps!

Boot Droid 2 Into RecoveryThis is certainly not the first documentation of how to put a Droid 2 into recovery, included for completeness. Hopefully you find it useful.

Install CyanogenMod 7.2 on the Droid 2- A multi-part instruction set that will get you up and running with CM7.2 in no time. This is one of the most popular articles on my blog.

White Motorola Droid 2

I recently sold off my Motorola Droid 2, so there won’t be any more updates to these resources. I loved my Droid 2, and it’s still going strong for the person I sold it to. I always found this phone to be reliable and durable. I ultimately replaced it with a used Droid X. While I stopped using the physical keyboard shortly after I purchased it, as the tactile feedback on this was not as good as the Droid 1, I know there are still some people who want a physical keyboard. If that’s you, any of the Droid phones – 1, 2, 3 or Droid 4 – would be good choices.
