Yurbuds Review
Yurbuds – Do They Live Up to the Hype?
A few months ago I was at BestBuy poking around and noticed a set of Yurbuds – a brand of earbud headphones that claimed to never fall out. I was intrigued as this has always been my biggest problem with listening to music while working out. I finally purchased a pair a week ago and thought I’d share my thoughts.
The first thing I noticed with the Yurbuds was the design. They’re little more than a standard paid of earbuds. The difference lies in the rubber cover over them. Where most companies place a soft piece of foam, Yurbuds use a more rigid design intended to hold tightly to your ear. I can’t speak to how they’ll fit for other people, but they fit my ears very well.
I’ve tried a number of the customizable earbud designs over the years, but none of them have fit as comfortably as these. The sound quality is better than most earbuds in this price range, but not the best I’ve experienced.
Of course, these headphones aren’t designed for sound quality – they’re designed to stay in your ears when you run, jump and lift weights. And they certainly do that. Between the price ($30), decent sound quality and excellent function, I highly recommend them to anyone that enjoys listening to music while they’re active.
